Information

In addition to the Boise River, extensive water features, pathways and network of trails, Heron River will include an approximately 3,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with meeting rooms and an exercise facility. Adjacent to the clubhouse will be a large pool, children's pool, tennis courts, picnic area and children's play structure, all along the Lawrence Kennedy Creek.

The residential portion of the community will be accented by the Village Center with restaurant and retail space fronting State Street. With nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space, the Village will include a bank, restaurants, and professional and medical offices. State Street/Highway 44 is the major east-west artery running along the northern boundary of the Heron River property. At the time of initial development, State Street is a two-lane arterial. The Idaho Department of Transportation has plans to widen this road to five lanes in the future. This will provide a center turn lane for easier access to Heron River from the west-bound lanes of State Street.

Along the southern border of the property, near the Boise River, the developers have donated a large parcel of land to the City of Star for the creation of a public city park. This park is proposed to include several sport fields as well as childrens play structures and picnic areas.
